Privacy & sharing
You can use The VAT calculator without an account or contact details. If you choose to contact us, the form asks for your name, email address and message. This website does not load analytics, advertising trackers or cookies.
Contact messages
The VAT uses the name, email and message you provide to respond to your enquiry. Messages are delivered through Microsoft Azure Communication Services to sean@automatesmt.com. Your address is used as Reply-To so we can respond directly. The contact form does not automatically include your calculator figures.
Do not send sensitive financial records, account details or identification documents. We keep correspondence only as needed to handle your enquiry and meet any applicable obligations. For access, correction or deletion requests, email sean@automatesmt.com. You may also contact Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.
Your calculations
Amounts are processed in your browser. We do not submit them to a calculator server or save them in browser storage. The website host processes the normal technical information needed to deliver a web page, such as the requested path and IP address.
WhatsApp and copied links
When you choose WhatsApp result, a prefilled message containing your figures and a calculation link is passed to WhatsApp. You choose the recipient and press send yourself. If you click Copy breakdown, the same information is copied to your device’s clipboard.
Calculation links contain the amount, rate and mode in a URL fragment after the # character. Fragments are not sent in the HTTP request to our host, but anyone who receives the complete link can read and restore those figures. Your browser history or other software may retain a link you open. Only share amounts you are comfortable disclosing.
External services
WhatsApp is governed by its privacy policy. Revenue links open the official Revenue website. The website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps; ordinary server access information is handled by that host.
